Jake Tucker, a drifter and Good Samaritan, comes to the aid of a couple, William and Betty Jo Bowers, who are targeted for death by a vengeance-driven outlaw, Jessup Stringer. Jessup is out to get William for the death of Jessup’s brother, occurring in a failed, robbery attempt. Meanwhile, Betty Jo has been conspiring against William, to further her own agenda of deceit, which includes taking over the couple’s ranch.
